by Brandy Swan and Phil Howell
Since my earliest days I've heard a voice;
Come it would during trying times,
To sooth and calm my most fevered dreams.
During times of stress and haunted sleep
The voice was there like a calming hand;
And so in my mind it had remained.
But then one day the voice spoke out loud;
So live, so real, so wonderful to hear,
Gently singing to me from behind.
Startled, I turned and looked behind
And there before me stood my soul
Come to find me in the flesh.
My heart, my voice, my endless joy;
It stood before me, so proud, so alive,
My future, my past, so bound together.
For there before me stood YOU....
